BFS is probably about to finally do what previous managers have all failed to do......
Drop Noble. With Song signed I cannot see a place in the team for Noble.

A very brave decision some might say given the undoubted popularity of Noble but IMHO I think the right decision.

Song was out of tune in the Brasil world cup. Let's hope that he ups his game to the Arsenal level and quick.

Song is very versatile, can play in defense and does a lot of attacking. He runs and runs the length of the pitch. I can see he can play in the same team as Noble

Playing Noble instead of an ex-Barcelona player in the prime of his career would be as absurd as preferring Marlon Harewood and Hayden Mullins to two world class Argentinian players .....

which is why that is exactly what I expect to happen ....

I remember Ricket Song trying to dribble the ball out of his own area and failing miserably

Hammer 74

Maybe she's thinking of the legendary Rigobert Song who played for us with such distinction at RB!

Realistically if you have a player from Barcelona who is class and another defensive midfielder who has come in and hit the ground running being your teams best player in every game he has played, can you honestly argue if Noble were to be dropped?

I actually think we may see a slightly different formation to accommodate our three central midfielders, perhaps more of a 433 than 4411, but as others have suggested song is quite creative so he could possibly play behind a striker. om even suggested yesterday that he would like to see kouyate in the hole, fellaini-esque.

If he is dropped and seeks a move to another Premiership side, that won't mean he isn't "West Ham".

My guess is that he would find a transfer to club where he would be a regular starter.

fordstar would probably follow, and start digging him out on his new club's fan sites...

Russ

you sure she isn't getting song mixed up with toure?

on wiki it says song started his career at centre back with bastia, then moved into central midfield. can't find any reference to him being a right back at all anywhere.

"I don`t hate Noble, far from it. I do hate the acclaim he gets for being BANG AVERAGE."

I have ignored you for while, especially after the pretty new makeover that is your user name, but we all need to take a second and consider this statement, most especially yourself.

If you said Noble was bang average, that would be an opinion, shared by some on here and that would be that. But that is not close to what you have posted over the years and years you have been being doing this shtick.

Just consider also that you, self-identify, as hating the acclaim another human being gets, one that happens to play for the club you support. Get a life, move on, find something real to hate.

Either you have real problems or are a real windup merchant, either way switch names again and come back and discuss football for real. Because we know you can.

I think there is a debate. On PAPER, we have a good squad after decent dealings this summer.

But there's a lot of journeymen in our squad now, no matter how talented they prove to be (or otherwise).

Personally, I think only 3 players could be a reasonable choice for fans as WHUFC Club Captain. Noble, Nolan, or Reid. Tough choice when some on here suggest they ALL need to be dropped!

There doesn't need to be a debate.

Noble has been a consistent and top class player for us for years. But, at the end of the day, if he isn't in our best eleven then he goes bench. End of.

Move along, nothing to see here.

"There is no way that Song, Kouyate and Valencia will be on the bench, Sullivan would literally murder Allardyce if that were to happen."

Maybe not murder, but surely he'd sack him after that outlay.

Noble will still get many games. Nolan, though, who knows? He's getting old, even BFS knows that.

Club Captain debate starts next.

Looks like he has developed in a more central position...

however, lets not put it past our great manager to start him at left back!

Hahaha

I said to my mate that was goodbye to Diame which was when she interupted and said it could be goodbye to Demel as he is a RB.

I said to her Barca bought him and played him at CM so surely he is a CM. She said he is a right back being played as a utility at CM.

I said I was a LB when I played but I am not a pro footballer but does that still make me a LB?

It was pointless as many players start out at positions they don't finish at. I said to her as far as I am concerned he played CM for Arse, CM for Barca and will play CM for us. So it makes him a CM.

So I did actually argue with her a bit which makes me a twat.

But I thought I would raise it on here as I suppose he could be an option at RB? If you go by a female Goon.
